What a wonderful atmosphere we had today at school! 🎉 The bustle of footsteps, the gaggle of conversation, the enthusiastic outbursts.. how much we have missed this since March 2020. We are feeling so grateful🥰 to have our grades 6 to 12 Applets back with us. 🌹 It was a blessing to see them enjoy all the activities, sports,⚽ academics, the yummy food from canteen, their interactions with their peers and teachers. The buzz around the Diwali Mela projects was difficult to contain 🎭🎨🎻We included the very necessary discipline guidelines in their schedule to make every Applet and their teachers' On-Campus journey of Term 2 as smooth as possible.🚌 We are eagerly waiting to receive the Applets from Preprimary to grade 5 as well... Hope that day arrives soon.... 💕

Covid-19: What a year!!! We all have experienced Covid 19....also called Corona Virus and we all have from a different perspective. Majority say that it is the worst year, but I think it is better....so here is my point of view.... People say that we cannot get together with besties and cousins. We cannot meet them. But now, as everything.... even parties are done on phone, I have started reuniting with old friends by texting and also made new ones! Yes! I became friends with friends of my friends without meeting face to face. Isn't it a shock? As we all are talking to each other by texting, I could talk to not only friends, even cousins that live far far away, sometimes even USA. 👭🏻📱 Moving on......I never felt that I was quarantined. I had a lot of fun during school. We had sports, studies, dance, Saturday activities, debate, Diya decoration and so much more. We even had our chapter test through drama, debate, photo journals and activities. All teachers were very kind and supportive and also, they let us have lot of fun during class. 📚🎒 When my father got covid, it was very hard because I had fever, my grandparents had chikungunya, my mom also had fever and my pet dog Mario had to wear a cone due to eye infection.😞 I requested my friends to play video games with me so I wouldn’t get bored. I was shifted to my maternal grandma’s house and was quarantined in a room. My parents told me not to get sad or lonely, they said that feelings affect our immunity and it was tough to stay happy stuck in one room looking at T.V all day, but I stayed happy. The teachers at school supported me a lot. They understood my situation and helped me. Thank you Teachers for everything.☺️ In this pandemic, I found a book series that I really love and I found so many TV series which were outstanding. I also found out marvelous movies. I found a book series called “The find-outers." It is about mysteries. It is my favorite book of all time. 😃📖📺 In quarentine, we can easily chat with friends or video call but what about the times when we used to play? In corona we played online games together and also we did online sleepovers and parties!!! You can also do that! We kept the zoom meeting on till 12 for online sleepover and brought snacks and ate them. We also danced and partied! We planned online surprises for friends on their birthdays and we even met in real life twice with proper precautions!!!✨ This is my perspective of corona virus! What is yours? -by Khushi Sheth🐶

'' Dare to Dream '' Today our Applets of Grades 6, 7 & 8 had an interactive session with a school topper. Ms. Noyonika Chakravarti shared her journey of learning through her middle and high school. She talked about her struggles with certain subjects such as Math while pursuing her passion for athletics and Art. How she had set short term goals, prioritised her task at hand and got the experience of excelling one thing at a time. Ultimately that lead to her achieving the topmost grades in her school/board, while not giving up on any of the fun activities! Even though the highlight of the session was on how to prepare for any exam, the session raised awareness on various issues like: -the importance of extracurricular activities such as sports, art, music etc., -pursuing one’s passion along with keeping academics a priority, -“Active Recall” being one of the best methods of learning, - how tuition are a waste of time (if one gives enough attention in class and are comfortable in asking help from the school teachers) - building good rapport and relationship with teachers and friends for support - sharing everything with at least any one of the parents -most of all being a good friend and a good human being to encourage an environment that fosters good learning at school. #School #AppleGlobalSchool #Ahmedabad
