Gratitude Wall: AGS truly appreciates your kind words dear parents. We are in this together- Applets, their parents, and the AGS Teachers & Staff 🙏 ******************************************** This is Muskaan Khatnani, mother of Aarav Khatnani, studying in GR 4i, want to share with u, tat we four at our home including me, are tested positive for covid... I had done my reports on sunday, and so it has been three days, that aarav is trying well in coping up with the classes, all by himself, and I'm very happy to see the unexpected sincerity from his side as he has not been to school since last two years, and yet he is giving his Best interest to put forward.. I thought its important to share this with you as you are playing an important part in his Life's Education, so u must know about his Life.. Also, I wished to share my insights about AGS as a school, after I attended the first orientation for new parents.. being a homeschooling parent myself, and a teacher before that, I feel, the way u all are working as a part of Education system, is really commendable... ♥ being so open at ur end, and listening and accepting all the thoughts by all sort of parents is something which every school must follow... After retrieving from a conventional school's philosophy, it's really a good luck for us to get an extended family in the form of AGS, to prepare us for the outer world in a compassionate and balanced way... 😀 Lastly, I wanna say that, Lisa mam talked about making our kids responsible for their life, even though they fall behind by 2 percent in academics, Is what stuck with me the most..!! I really wish and believe that True Education is what makes a Human stand strong for his whole Lifetime, rather than just making him stand for few years of his life with mere numbers on his report card... Lots of Gratitude for giving us the feeling of satisfaction, that we r in right hands, for better tomorrow.. 🙏🙌 Thanking U, Aarav's parents, Muskaan and Anil...

In AGS, we truly believe that a good teacher is like a candle, it consumes itself to light the way of others. A good teacher can inspire hope, ignite imagination, and instill a love of learning. We, the teachers of AGS, are imploring you all with the message 'Stay Home, Stay Safe'! Through this video, we also want all our Applets to explore and understand their interest and passion, and follow it to lead a happy and fulfilled life, one day at a time. We feel the inner happiness can be found in sharing the household chores, maintaining hygiene and washing hands, working/studying from home, taking care of elderly people at home, sharing food with the needy people in the neighbourhood by maintaining safe distance and wearing masks. #beanapplet #appleglobalschool #agseducation #salamteachers #academicsinahmedabad

"Children must have sunshine, freedom and play time along with study time." At AGS, we believe in Education that is all inclusive- giving equal importance to study and play. AGS organized a picnic for grade 1& 2 Applets. All the students were excited for their much awaited picnic to Gulmohar Greens. In the morning the whole school was full of hustle and bustle when the students were seen making their way towards their respective buses. While on the way, the students enjoyed in the buses and sang energetically all along. On reaching the park, the children enthusiastically explored the alluring beauty and bounties of nature. Their excitement and enthusiasm was infectious. Their smiles spread from them to their accompanying teachers as well as the local people there. The most enjoyable time was in the adventure park area which included toy train ride, slides, climbers, trampoline and bumper car ride. The children clearly enjoyed their day to the fullest and created beautiful memories to be cherished by them for a long time to come. The laughter and joy that was witnessed amongst the children was something beyond words. The picnic was a much needed break from the regular schedule of the students in the school and the children made the best out of the day. After a tiring and fun packed morning the students had delicious lunch followed by a safe return trip. The children expressed their desire to visit the place again. Indeed, it was a great day for one and all. Class picnic has always been the most awaited day of the year for the kids and teacher as it helps in strengthening the bond between them. The students learnt the value of sharing and caring for others during this entire trip. They learnt to become more independent and tolerant as throughout the trip they had to be along with their peers and classmates.

Students visited "Prakash", it is a school for visually impaired girls. There they saw a science lab and mobility garden. They visited the classrooms to understand how the visually impaired students study with special slates and other material. The students from Prakash sang a sweet song on Rakhi. Our Applets bought a few beautiful Rakhis made by the visually impaired girls.

*JOSH Activity Report by Applets* On 10th January, we interviewed a few children from an underprivileged family to know about their lifestyle. They are currently living outside our school premises. They came here quite recently. We found out that they have very big families. Their families sell plastic chairs for a living. They get 100 to 200 rupees a day. They earn enough to fulfill their basic needs for the day. They were happy with whatever they had. They purchase the chairs from a shop. We saw the children playing with a few toy cars and they had made an interesting stone pathway(pic). They said they like to play football but are not privileged enough to purchase one. The children helped their parents everyday. They said that if they get an opportunity to go to school and study, they would do it happily. Unfortunately, they were unable to complete their schooling and did not even know how to write their own names. They did not even know their own age. Their family owned only one vehicle which they used for their work. They did not even have any aspirations for their future. They did not know about any celebrities or sports persons even though they had a TV set. Some of them did not even have footwear. Their feet were blistered and they did not even mind. We found out that they do not get the required support from the government to live in a decent, hygienic manner. *They did not have any dreams for a better future!* -By Aakarsh Batra, Atharwa Kulwal and Arihant Tomar
