Rakshabandhan or 'Rakhi' is a special occasion🎉🥳 to celebrate the virtuous bond of love between a brother and a sister.🧒👧 To celebrate this festival, our Applets of Gr 2 - 5 were engaged in Rakhi Making Activity. Students showcased their talent by making beautiful and creative hand-made Rakhis by using pulses, threads, ribbons, laces, seeds and a variety of other materials.Applets learnt about the importance of the festival.It enhanced their aesthetic sense and creativity.The students were able to relate them with their own culture and tradition.A sense of ownership and pride were instilled in them. 🤩🤩🤩 Here are a few glimpses of the activity.

To celebrate this auspicious day,Grade 1 girls tied a Rakhi on their classmate's wrist and prayed for their long and prosperous life. In return, boys gave them sweets as token of love . Crusading Towards A Greener Future☘️✨☘️ They say every small step towards a Greener Future COUNTS🌟 We at AGS geared up for the upcoming festive🤝 season with small steps towards being Environment Friendly. Eco friendly, hand made Rakhis📿 were made by our Pre-Primary & Primary Applets. This initiative was conceptualized & mentored by our Green Crusader Vice Captain Mahi Sharma of Grade 9I. Mahi Sharma coached all the Applets how to make hand made Rakhis from biodegradable & eco friendly materials. These rakhis📿 were extra special as they have seeds embedded in them. Post the Rakshabandhan Festival💫 these Rakhis can be sowed in soil to grow into beautiful plants & trees!
