A great scientist, people's President, and a phenomenal teacher, Dr. #APJAbdulKalam was the driving force behind many cutting-edge technologies in India, from satellites to local healthcare. His contributions will always be worthy of mention when we talk of science and technology in India. 1. He was the Project Director in ISRO to help develop India's first indigenous Satellite Launch Vehicle. 2. He also became the Project Director for two missile projects whose aim was to develop ballistic missiles from the technology of the successful SLV programme. 3. He took up the responsibility of developing Indigenous Guided Missiles at DRDO. 4. He was the brain behind multiple nuclear tests carried out at Pokhran in 1998 which made India a nuclear weapon state. 5. He helped design a cost-effective coronary stent known as 'Kalam-Raju-Stent' making healthcare accessible to all. 7. Dr. Kalam and Dr. Soma Raju, came up with a rugged tablet computer in 2012 to take care of the health of underprivileged people in rural India. 8. Watching seeds grow is an amazing science lesson for kids. Our Seed Germination Experiment gave kids the opportunity to see up close how a seed grows and what would actually be happening under the ground! Our applets awesome seed growing activity turned out amazingly well, and they loved checking on the progress each day!They even recited rhymes and songs for better growth of plants.... As the saying goes, “tell me and I forget, teach me and I remember, involve me and I learn.” Story Come Alive Activity actively involved our young primary Applets with the ideas in the story and made the story come to life to a greater extent as well as made it interesting for the audience. Students had concrete experiences of the stories. They not only played the main characters of the stories by dressing up perfectly well but narrated the stories articulately and it turned out meticulously well! This activity gave our Applets a platform to enhance their creative skills also by creating their own stories. Some collaboratively worked upon the stories and presented them as a team. Parents also took part in the activity. They put in extra efforts to support our Applets. We were amazed to watch the zeal and participation of the parents. Applets depicted the favourite characters like Cinderella, Superman, Avengers, Ginnie, Charlie Chaplin, Ram etc. The activity helped them to enhance their literacy skills, confidence and presentation skills. #appleglobalschool #beanapplet #agsonlineeducation #storycomealive
