'Show and Tell' is an important part of a child's learning development, as it helps them to organize information and build their confidence. It is also a great way to encourage a child's interest in a particular topic and a chance for children to think out of the box.
With the aim of providing an opportunity for our primary Applets to develop effective communication skills and to build their confidence, a virtual ‘show and tell’ activity was organized. They learned and experienced public speaking - a skill a child will use throughout his/her life.
Students exhibited their oratorial skills with confidence using a wide variety of props, they spoke on many interesting topics like Best Out of Waste, My Favourite Corner in the House, An Object that can be Recycled, Favourite Animal, My Bucket List, Favourite Bedtime Story, etc,
They described the objects with a lot of confidence, facial expressions, and voice modulation. Overall, the show was a spectacular learning experience for the kids!
It goes without saying that students’ involvement in individual activity infuses in them originality, self-confidence & self-reliance.
The inspiring presentation left no stone unturned to achieve a realistic appraisal of their skills and to discover the power of spoken words.
Applets were excited to share their descriptive narration and waited eagerly for their turn to show and tell. Thus, this event helped our Applets to build their social, emotional, and language skills.
